iTrack collects data in 4 areas: panel's PC usage status, browser activation, URL information & requested network file, and usage information of user PC applications like the instant messenger.

It is important to check the status of the panel's PC usage since it is vital to the accurate measurement of webpage and site duration time. After a visit was paid to a certain site and there is no change in the page for a certain period of time, then one must make sure whether the user's PC is in use or not. If not, the duration time of a certain page may be measured abnormally high.

If the panel is using 2 or more browsers, or if he is using another application and a browser at the same time, since it is impossible to recognize multiple web pages at the same time, one must be able to identify which browser is activated.

The website addresses that the user arrived at either through links or addresses entered in the browser address window are collected. Information about the network files (i.e. graphic files, banner ads, media files) exchanged between the browser and the server is partially collected.

iTrack checks whether instant messenger such as Nateon or MSN is installed in the panel's PC, and it collects information about the type and version of the IM, log-in time, etc. iTrack can easily detect if there are multiple IM's installed in one PC, and it continues to track and collect data in the event of change in IM installation and usage.
