It is an internet user sample survey that KoreanClick plans and conducts jointly with Research International Korea (RI Korea) to capture internet user characteristics that change over time (the total number of domestic internet users, demographic structure, etc) and their usage and attitude. It has value in that it serves as basic data that can be used to reconcile the data measured through the panel.
It also helps the overall investigation of the internet industry and brand awareness which is difficult to measure with only the panel-produced data.
The survey design is done by RI Korea and KoreanClick, and the sample frame reflects the demographic composition of the latest estimated population collected and available for the survey year. RI Korea is responsible for the investigation and analysis of the survey results.
Until 2003, the survey has been conducted on 10,000 local residents 4 times a year; however, as the internet usage became more mature, the scale was halved to 5,000 residents and twice a year starting from 2004.
